Ondo Decides: Voting Commences Early In Idanre LGA

The process for the Ondo State governorship election commenced early in Idanre local government area of the state as early as 7:30am with electoral officials and security agencies arriving at polling units.

In the three polling units visited by our correspondent, there were large turnout of voters including people with disabilities who were already on queue to exercise their franchise.

At Ojaigbokin, Abana 1/2, unit 005, three persons with disabilities, 55-year-old Mr Akinbufe Olusegun, Pa Victor Ogunlola, 84; and Pa Olafisayo Akintelure, 82, were seen awaiting the time to cast their votes.

At Alade/Afosuni unit 01, there was also large turnout of voters and security agencies who were positioned at strategic locations conducting stop and search.

All the roads were deserted, as the exercise was going peacefully.

Large turnout of voters were also seen at Oke Omikan, unit 008 where the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Festus Akingbaso cast his vote at 8:30am.
