Ondo SSG dies few days after surviving road crash

The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi, is dead.

It was gathered that the SSG, popularly known as Tukana, died on Saturday, at an undisclosed hospital.

The details of his death were still sketchy at the time of filing this report, but it was learnt that the deceased was involved in a road accident along the Ife-Ibadan Road on December 19, 2024, after which he was hospitalised.

However, the state government has not officially announced the passing away of the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.

However, a top government official, who did not want his name in print because he was not authorised to speak, confirmed the incident to our correspondent, saying the state government would soon issue a statement.

“It is true it happened but the Commissioner for Information is preparing a statement in that regard,” he said.

The State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, approved the appointment of Oluwatuyi as the Secretary to the State Government on January 24, 2024.
