Orange Corners Nigeria recently inaugurated an incubation hub to support over 100 young entrepreneurs in sectors, including circular economy, agriculture, health, renewable energy, technology, and water solutions.

The incubation hub was opened in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to drive socio-economic development and job creation in the state over the next five years, according to a statement by the organisation.

The Ogun State Commissioner for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Mr Adebola Sofela, who represented Governor Dapo Abiodun, launched the incubation hub recently.

He highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship for economic growth and described the Orange Corners Nigeria Hub in Ogun State as “not just a physical space but a beacon of hope and opportunity for our youth”.

“The foundation of any thriving economy is built on the innovation, creativity, and dedication of its entrepreneurs,” the commissioner stated.

The organisation noted the hub will offer a comprehensive six-month incubation programme, alongside financial support of up to N248m per year, totalling N1.24bn over five years, to selected entrepreneurs.

The Executive Director of FATE Foundation, Adenike Adeyemi, said she was delighted to witness the successful launch of the Orange Corners Nigeria hub in Ogun State, marking a significant milestone in OCN’s expansion programme.

“This hub will empower young entrepreneurs in Ogun State with the skills and resources needed to transform their local economy, drive economic growth, and create jobs,” Adeyemi stated.

She added that through mentorship, training, and networking opportunities, the hub would support entrepreneurs in developing their businesses, which would stimulate economic activities and boost job creation in the region.
