Former Nigeria international striker has hit a splendid scoring run in the Armenia Premier League, having scored in three matches on the bounce for Pyunik Yerevan, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Aside from finding the net three times in a roll, the 32-year-old has also provided an assist after just two appearances in the new campaign.
He netted his third goal in their 4-1 win over Banaki on Friday in a Game Week 7 fixture at Junior Sport Stadium, Yerevan, where he clinically converted from the spot on 62 minutes to give his team a 3-1 lead.
The former Julius Berger striker was also among the goals in their 3-1 win at West Armenia on September 13 after opening his season’s account in their 2-0 home win over Shirak on September 1.
Unsung Otubanjo has now scored 38 goals in 61 appearances for Pyunik following his arrival at the club from Ararat-Armenia in 2022.
He started his professional career with defunct Julius Berger in 2009 and has also played for Gateway United F.C., Crown F.C. Atlético Madrid C, Red Bull Salzburg, Pasching, Blau-Weiß Linz, MŠK Žilina, Rheindorf Altach, and LASK.
