The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, on Sunday, expressed satisfaction with the unity within the fold of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State.

The immediate past Osun State Governor subsequently urged members of the party to ensure they remain united and work together for success to be achieved.

Oyetola, who is currently in Saudi Arabia performing Lesser Hajj, joined virtually a 70th birthday prayer session held for him in Osogbo, Osun State.

“I am highly honoured with the one-week activities put together for me as I joined the septuagenarian club.

“I, however, appeal to you all to continue to work together for the sake of our party. I love the unity of purpose within the family. Please let us sustain the tempo for the sake of our state too,” Oyetola said.

Delivering a sermon at the event, the Chief Imam of Offa, Kwara State, Sheikh Muyideen Salman, said Oyetola had enjoyed uncommon grace from God, noting that he had spent a large part of his life to raise people who had chosen to celebrate the 70th birthday of their principal in grand style.

He charged politicians to always place high emphasis on human capital development, saying by so doing, they would be creating people with capacity that would lift them when they are advancing in age.

The prayer was attended by the Director-General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr Dayo Mobereola,  the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji; the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Olabomi; the Alaagba of Aagba, Oba Rufus Ogunwole.

Also, present at the event were the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Pius Akutah, the Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, and the Executive Director, Project Implementation of the Federal Housing Authority, Mr. Remi Omowaiye, among others.
