Oyo: Makinde approves new appointment of 902 civil servants

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the appointment of no fewer than 902 new civil servants in the state.

The Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, made this announcement in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday.

Aderibigbe, who urged the new entrants into the state civil service to express their gratitude to the governor, said: “The Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde, has graciously approved the appointment of 902 officers into various cadres in the mainstream of the civil service of Oyo State.

“The recruitment, which is the first of its kind in the history of Oyo State, covers about 60 cadres across ministries, departments, and agencies. This includes education officers for 35 teaching subject areas in schools under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

“All successful applicants will receive their letters of appointment before the end of January 2025.”
