Oyo TESCOM Confirms Number Of Applicants That Passed Teachers Recruitment Test

The Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission (Oyo TESCOM) has announced the results of the computer-based assessments conducted for the recruitment of secondary school teachers in the state.

The Commission’s Chairman, Akinade Alamu, in a statement provided to the media on Tuesday, August 6, in Ibadan, stated that approximately 9,000 candidates successfully passed the computer-based test conducted last week.

In his statement, Alamu indicated that the commission established a minimum cut-off mark of 50 per cent for candidates to advance to the next phase of the recruitment process.

He noted that the 9,000 successful candidates are scheduled to participate in interview sessions commencing on August 14, 2024, which will take place over the course of one week.

The interview panels will consist of both current and retired Permanent Secretaries, organized into ten groups with five members each.

Additionally, he encouraged all candidates to visit the commission’s portal to view their results, which have already been posted online.

Emphasizing the commission’s dedication to improving educational services within the state, Alamu announced that interviews for candidates in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geography are scheduled for August 14, 2024.

The commission further indicated that candidates for English, Physics, Health Education, Technical Drawing, Music, and French will be interviewed on August 15, 2024.

Additionally, interviews for candidates in Basic Science, Home Economics, and Computer Science are set for August 16, 2024.

The commission also specified that interviews for candidates in Commerce, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, Literature in English, and Guidance and Counseling will take place on August 19, 2024.

Moreover, candidates in Social Studies, Business Studies, and Food and Nutrition are to be interviewed on August 20, 2024.

Interviews for candidates in Economics, Government, Finance and Account, Fine Arts, and History are scheduled for August 21, 2024.

Lastly, the commission has arranged for interviews on August 22, 2024, for candidates in Agricultural Science, Yoruba, and Arabic.

The chairman encouraged all candidates to bring their credentials, the local government of origin, date of birth certificate, and other pertinent documents wishing them success in their interviews.
