Pastor Kumuyi Gives Reason For Allowing Muslim Cleric To Use His Pulpit

The founder of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has explained the rationale for allowing Muslim clerics to speak from his pulpit at the church conference.

Naija News reports that pictures of Muslim clerics with caps speaking from the church pulpit at the ongoing revolutionary Change Makers International, CMI, conference at the General Yakubu Gowon Stadium Elekahia Port Harcourt in Rivers State, set tongues wagging across social media.

Reacting to the controversies in a video online, pastor Kumuyi explained that he allowed the Muslim clerics because the conference was held in a stadium and not within the church’s hallowed walls.

He said: “People were asking, Pastor WF, what are you looking at, look at that man having his cap on. Yes, we are in the stadium, we are not in the church building, and so I do not have to challenge him, he has his cap on.”

Kumuyi Sends Message To Nigerian Youths, Discloses What Must Be Done To Achieve Positive Change

Meanwhile, William Kumuyi has urged Nigerian youths to dialogue with the Federal Government to achieve positive socio-economic impact change in the country.

The clergyman made the call on Wednesday while speaking with newsmen at the Port Harcourt Airport.

Kumuyi was in the state for a six-day programme organised by the Change Makers International Initiative (CMII).

The cleric, who is the Convener of CMII, described the programme as a non-religious, non-partisan, non-denominational movement, driven by a passion to achieve positive change and create social impact in Nigeria.
