PDP Appoints New Caretaker Committee In Ekiti

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Dare Adeleke as the chairman and Olatunji Ayofe as the secretary of the Ekiti State chapter of the party’s caretaker committee.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, announced this in a statement issued on Friday.

Naija News understands that the committee of 20 members will manage the party’s operations in Ekiti State for up to 90 days (three months) or until a new Executive Committee is elected.

“Following the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee in Ekiti State, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on behalf of the National Executive Committee, hereby approves the composition of the Ekiti State Caretaker Committee to manage the affairs of the Ekiti State Chapter as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of our Party’s Constitution, for a period not exceeding 90 days (three months), or until a new Executive Committee is elected,” the statement read.

Naija News reports that the Ekiti State Caretaker Committee includes Hon. Ayodele Joshua, Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua, Hon. Olonila Ojo Benjamin, Mojisola Omotosho, Hon. Ojo Ayeni, Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka, Hon. Ademola Alade, Hon. Afolayan Akutupu, Hon. Bobby Jeje, Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun, Hon. Araromi Akindele Samuel, Hon. Festus Idowu Akinbode, Hon. Ade Fajana, Barr. Ayo Oguntuase, Hon. Olanipekun Boboye, Hon. Adebayo Jackson, and Hon. Ojo Fasasi.

Additionally, Asabo Ayodeji Victor has been appointed the committee’s administrative secretary.

The statement added: “The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders, and dedicated members of our party in Ekiti State to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the party.”
