Kwankwaso Remains Suspended – NNPP Founder, Aniebonam

In other news, the Founder and Life Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, announced on Tuesday that the party’s Board of Trustees will convene on November 8, 2024, to deliberate on a recent court ruling that mandates the board to assume control of the party’s management.

This decision follows an Abia High Court judgment directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to transfer NNPP’s management and administration to Aniebonam’s BoT.

The court ruling has been described as a significant shift in the party’s leadership structure, formally placing Aniebonam, the party’s founder, and his team in charge of strategic decisions.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, Aniebonam, who also serves as the founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), expressed the board’s intent to abide by the “compelling order” of the court.

He highlighted the importance of the upcoming meeting in shaping the future direction of the NNPP and ensuring compliance with the court’s ruling.
