The Peoples Democratic Party will inaugurate the National Reconciliation and Disciplinary Committees on Wednesday in Abuja.
The PDP, which has been dealing with internal conflicts, recently appointed former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola as chairman of the Reconciliation Committee to address unresolved issues.
In a statement on Friday, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, also announced the appointment of former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tom Ikimi, as chairman of the Reconciliation Committee.
Both committees will play a crucial role in the party’s future, as their efforts will help reestablish the PDP as a leading alternative political force.

“The Committees will be inaugurated on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall, National Secretariat, Abuja at 12 noon prompt,” he disclosed.
The party has designated Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, as the Secretary of the disciplinary committee. Among the committee members are former Kano State Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau; former Ebonyi State Governor, Sen. Dr. Sam Egwu; and former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George.
