Some vessels of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, known as petrol berthed at Lagos Ports on Tuesday to end fuel scarcity.

The Nigerian Port Authority disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, noting that several petroleum ships were awaiting to berth at the Lagos Ports.

According to NPA, 16 ships contained PMS while another two will arrive with bulk and butane gas.

“The 16 vessels will berth at ENL Consortium, AMPT, Apapa Bulk, and Greenview Development Nigeria Ltd. terminals in Lagos,” the NPA stated.

This comes as nine vessels are currently discharging crude oil, diesel, containers, gasoline oil, and other cargoes at various ports in Lagos.

The development comes amid the resurgence of fuel queues in Lagos, Abuja, Nasarawa, Niger and other states over short supply of fuel.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited in a recent statement through its spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye assured that efforts are on ground to end the fuel supply challenges being experienced in the country.
