Former President Olusegun Obasanjo stormed Nigeria’s Centre of Commerce, Kano, on Saturday, to grace the wedding of Aisha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the daughter of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Naija News reports that upon his arrival, the former president donned a red cap and was warmly welcomed by Kwankwaso and the governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Daily Trust said Obasanjo was greeted at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.
Aisha Kwankwaso is set to marry her fiancé, Engr. Fahad Dahiru Mangal.
Meanwhile, former Senate President Bukola Saraki has also arrived in Kano for the occasion.
Confirming this via his X handle, Saraki wrote: “A little while ago, I arrived in Kano ahead of the Wedding Fatiha between the children of my dear friends, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso and Alhaji Dahiru Mangal.
Also, Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has arrived in Kano for the elaborate wedding ceremony.
Naija News reports that the wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Kofar Kudu Palace of Emir of Kano, Khalifa Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II on Saturday, 16th November 2024, by 11 am.
