Former Nigeria Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, marked his 35th wedding anniversary with an emotional and moving tribute to his wife, Dolapo.

Sharing his reflections on their decades-long union, Osinbajo highlighted the depth of his wife’s love, commitment, and multifaceted contributions to their family and society.

In an X message laden with gratitude and admiration on Monday, Osinbajo described his wife as the embodiment of selflessness and devotion, saying, “Every year of these 35 years you’ve proved that true love is not a myth or a fanciful phrase—through your willingness to give up everything for me and our children, through your generosity with your time, skills, and great faith by which you have helped us all navigate our sometimes bewildering journeys.”

Dolapo Osinbajo, a lawyer, author, and social advocate, has long been celebrated for her impactful contributions to the community.

According to the tribute, her work spans hosting national prayer meetings, running shelters for vulnerable women, mentoring thousands of young people, and even nurturing creative hobbies such as crocheting and gardening.

Reflecting on her unique blend of personal and societal impact, the former VP added, “In all of this, you’ve written several books, run several national prayer meetings, run shelters for vulnerable women, trained thousands of young people in different skills, crocheted a storm, and developed numerous gardens!”

As he concluded his heartfelt note, Osinbajo expressed his deep gratitude to God for the gift of his wife, affirming his love with the words, “I thank God daily for the gift of you to me. I love you always. Happy 35th Anniversary.”

The anniversary post has drawn widespread attention and admiration from Nigerians and well-wishers globally.

Many took to social media to celebrate the enduring bond between the couple, describing their relationship as a model of love, faith, and partnership.
