The member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Daniel Asama, has distributed food and non-food items worth over N60 million to displaced persons in his constituency in order to cushion the effect of high cost of living.

Items distributed include rice, semovita, spaghetti, indomie noodles, cooking oil, school shoes, school bags, roofing sheets, school desks, school chairs and exercise books among other items.

The lawmaker while flagging off the distribution of the  items in Kwal, Bassa local government area of Plateau State, said,  “This is to bring succour to my constituents in view of the hardship people are going through. People just want little meals, just portions of food to eat. This will go a long way to bring succour and relief to the vulnerable and displaced people”.

He noted that the distribution would be done in phases stressing that this first tranche was for 50 beneficiaries.
