Police arrest couple for allegedly stealing, selling children, recover 10 in Ondo

Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have reportedly arrested a couple, Lukman Isiaka and his wife, Abosede Olanipekun, for allegedly stealing children across Ondo and Osun states.

According to The Nation, the police have successfully recovered 10 of the allegedly stolen children.

However, some distraught parents who thronged the command’s headquarters lamented that their children were still missing.

The report revealed that the couple were allegedly using various methods to abduct the children, selling each one for N1 million to Sabina Izuorah, a 62-year-old resident of Ihiala in Anambra State.

It was gathered that the arrest of the couple followed a police investigation into the abduction of a child reported missing by her mother.

Efforts by DAILY POST to reach the Ondo Police Command proved abortive, as the phone number of the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, could not be reached.
