The Nigeria Police Force has addressed public expectations regarding crime control, emphasising the ongoing nature of their efforts to combat criminal activities across the country.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, highlighted the challenges faced by law enforcement in apprehending all criminals simultaneously.

“We can’t apprehend all the criminals at once,” Adejobi stated in a statement on Friday via X, urging the public to recognise the progress being made.

He added, “At least appreciate us for the ones we have arrested. We arrest them on a daily basis, in large numbers.”

While replying to a post showing some gunmen posing with huge amounts of cash, the PRO emphasised the continuous efforts of both the police and the armed forces in tackling crime.

He said, “The armed forces and the police are trying their best. Efforts of security forces should be seen, noticed, and appreciated.”

Adejobi stressed the importance of a collaborative approach to addressing insecurity in Nigeria while assuring the public of the force’s commitment to justice.

“We need to look towards having collective efforts and individualistic involvement in tackling insecurity and other vices in Nigeria. One thing is sure, no criminal will go unpunished,” he added.
