The Nigeria Police Force have confirmed the murder of a housewife identified as Mrs Rose Eneojoh in Kogi State.

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), William Ovye Aya, confirmed this to DAILY POST on Thursday night.

He disclosed that one Muazu Muhammed has been arrested in connection with the crime.

“I called the Divisional Police Officer in the area, and he confirmed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the woman’s death.

“She was attacked, and someone went to the station to report. The prime suspect, Muazu Muhammed, has been arrested, and the matter has been transferred to Lokoja for further investigation,” he added.

In a post on Meta, formerly known as Facebook, by a user identified as Charles Ile Umoru, he wrote, “This innocent woman, Mrs. Rose Eneojoh—wife to my brother-in-law—was gruesomely murdered last night at Etikpolo Anyigba. The killers told her and her husband that they were paid 200,000 Naira to assassinate her.

“She offered them more money in exchange for her life; they took the money from them and still went ahead to shoot her, leaving the husband and 5 young children in misery. How long should this continue in Igala land?”
