The Imo State Police Command on Sunday received 22 extra operational vehicles from the Imo State government.

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, Aboki Danjuma, lauded the executive governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for his unwavering support in the onslaught against violent crimes in the state.

During the inspection of the 22 refurbished operational vehicles and eight Armored Personnel Carriers, in addition to the 27 brand new patrol vehicles donated to the Command by the governor for effective and efficient policing of the state, Danjuma noted that “the governor has also demonstrated genuine support to the wives and families of injured and deceased police officers, who have paid the supreme price while fighting crime in the state which has served as a morale booster for serving personnel.”

Danjuma emphasized that the governor’s enormous contributions, particularly in the areas of providing the needed logistics and resources to the command, have remained the backbone behind the majority of the command’s security achievements.

The CP also expressed his profound gratitude to the consummate Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for his outstanding support and constant provision of logistics and welfare packages to personnel, which according to him, has motivated them to effectively fight crime.

Danjuma said, “The refurbished vehicles will be strategically deployed across all Police Divisions and Area Commands in the state for round-the-clock visibility policing and night patrol to enhance the overall safety and security in the state for economic growth and development.”

The commissioner assured the good people of Imo State that the command under his watch would never relent in its unflinching determination to safeguard the lives and property of the residents of the state, even as he solicited continued support from the citizens and residents of the state in the fight against crimes and criminality.
