Police recover stolen motorcycle in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with an armed robbery incident that occurred on September 2, 2024, in Dutse Local Government Area.

The Command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Adam, who confirmed the arrest in a press statement on Wednesday listed the suspects to include, Sanusi Usman, 25, Amir Musa, 21, and Yasir Yusuf, 19.

They were arrested following a report by a motorcyclist, Suleman Umar,  that his motorcycle had been stolen by unknown hoodlums.

The suspects allegedly robbed Umar of his motorcycle at gunpoint and fled to Kwanar Huguma Area of Kano State.

Subsequently, the Dutse Division patrol team intercepted one of the suspects, Sanusi Usman, along with the stolen motorcycle.

He said, “Upon interrogation, Usman confessed to the crime and implicated his accomplices, who were subsequently arrested.”

The suspects revealed that they had committed similar crimes within the Dutse metropolis and Shuwarin town in Kiyawa LGA.
