The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has stated that many of its operations and anti-crime strategies are covert and will not be disclosed publicly.

In a post on X on Friday, Adejobi explained that this is necessary to ensure the effectiveness of their efforts to safeguard lives and property.

“Many of our operations and anti-crime strategies are covert and will not be made known to the public, except when it is extremely necessary,” he wrote.

He added that the police force will only share information with the public when necessary to educate and reassure them of their safety.

“Don’t expect security forces to reveal their strategies online as if they were content creators,” he said.

He urged the public to support the police and “wish them well in their quest to continually safeguard our lives, property, and our great country, Nigeria.”
