Pep Guardiola's side are two points ahead of Arsenal and will be aiming to make it five on Sunday against their closest title challengers.

The Gunners have tried and failed to win their first league title in 20 years, but they are set to challenge Man City again this season.

Fabregas predicts Man City vs Arsenal

The Spaniard, who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea, is backing Arsenal to beat Man City.

"I’m going for 2-1 to Arsenal,’ the manager of Italian side Como, said via Metro Sports. ‘There will be goals. I’m pretty sure there will be goals. ‘It’s always been a very 50-50 game, you know, because they respect each other, they know all their weaknesses, they know their strengths.

The World Cup winner feels losing that game for either team won't be a disaster since it's early in the season.

"I think you lose this weekend, it doesn’t have a big impact into the mind of the players, you know, going forward into the season, because there is still so many games to play," he added.

The 37-year-old has played against Manchester City 24 times as an Arsenal and Chelsea player, winning 14 times and losing seven.

Before taking four points off Man City last season, Mikel Arteta's side had lost 13 and drawn two of their previous 15 matches against the champions, per Opta Analyst.

Why is Arsenal playing UCL on Thursday?

In another report, YEN.com.gh reported that UEFA implemented a new scheduling format, allocating entire weeks exclusively for each of their club competitions.

This system ensures that only one competition is played during these 'exclusive weeks,' which explains why teams like Arsenal played their matches on Thursday.
