Prominent First Class Monarch In Ondo State Is Dead

The death has been reported of a first class traditional ruler in Ondo state, Owa of Idanre kingdom and paramount ruler of Idanre land, Oba Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV.

Naija News understands the monarch died on Wednesday morning at the age of 102.

His death was confirmed by a high Chief in the community, Christopher Oluwole Akindolire, according to TVC.

The traditional ruler, Oba Aroloye, ascended the throne in 1976 and necessary traditional rites have commenced for his burial.

Tinubu Reacts To Onyeka Onwenu’s Death

President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the entertainment industry following the death of ace Nigerian singer cum actress, Onyeka Onwenu.

Naija News reported that Onwenu died shortly after performing at a birthday party in Lagos.

The music icon, affectionately known as the ‘Elegant Stallion,’ reportedly collapsed at a private function and was later pronounced dead at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expressed his condolence to the family of the deceased.

While recalling the contribution of Onwenu in the music industry, Tinubu also prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased artiste.
