Founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) in Effurun, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has withdrawn the suit filed against social media influencer Martins Otse (aka VeryDarkMan).

The Delta-born prophet dragged Otse to court after VeryDarkMan publicly called out the prophet on his social media pages for selling miracle products, including soap, water, perfume, and mustard seeds.

Fufeyin claimed that his soap, approved by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), is a potent remedy that can cure any disease. It especially benefits those suffering from disappointment, failure, and delays in achieving their life goals.

The prophet also claimed that the items were God’s gifts and that they could overcome obstacles for those who purchased lands but faced unforeseen building challenges.

Following Otse’s criticism, Fufeyin filed a lawsuit, asking the court to grant him N1 billion in damages for damage to his reputation. He also urged the court to restrain VeryDarkMan from speaking about him.

Undeterred, VeryDarkMan responded to the suit by threatening: “I am coming to the court with 800 deaf people, 700 blind people, and 36 women who are looking for the fruit of the womb; you must use your healing water and soap to heal all of them in front of the judge,” VeryDarkMan said in a video.

The prophet withdrew the suit days after Otse’s threat, saying: “Verydarkman, I, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, extend forgiveness to you. I am withdrawing the court case against you. Following the teachings of Jesus, who preached peace and corrected sinners, I forgive you. May you learn from your mistakes and walk in righteousness from now on, my son.”
