Aggrieved youths in Kano State have regrouped in Tudun Ward of Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State despite the 24-hour curfew imposed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Governor Yusuf, Friday, relaxed the curfew for five hours to enable Muslim faithful to observe Jumaat.

But scores of youths regrouped on the bridge demarcating Tudun Murtala and Tudun Wada wards to protest hardship in the country.

Many of them wielded placards while others sang and clapped as they marched on.

According to Daily Trust, a young man addressed the gathering before they hit the street.

Naija News had earlier report that Governor Yusuf declared 24-hour curfew in the state following the degeneration of the protest against hunger in the country.

The governor declared the curfew at a press conference held at the Government House on Thursday.

He said, “After careful consideration, we have come to terms that 24 hours curfew should be put in place to further prevent looting and vandalisation of businesses and killing of innocent citizens.”

He further direct all security agencies in the state to ensure full compliance with the directives to ensure restoration of peace in the state.
