Qing Madi Credits Her Mother for Discovering Her Singing Talent

Rising Nigerian singer, Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, popularly known as Qing Madi, has opened up about the significant role her mother played in her musical journey.

In a recent interview with reality star KimOprah on Hip TV’s programme, Trending, the 17-year-old sensation revealed that her mother was the first to recognize her singing talent and pushed her towards a professional music career.

“I didn’t realize I could sing, my mom did,” Qing Madi shared. “She was very forward with my career when I wasn’t passionate about it. She wanted it more than I did. I wanted to be a lot of things, but not an artiste.”

Qing Madi, who gained fame with her 2022 hit single ‘See Finish’ and its 2023 follow-up ‘Ole’ featuring BNXN, credited her mother for her success. Her songs went viral on TikTok, propelling her into the spotlight.
