The Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources sealed off a residence in the Itire-Ikate area of Surulere on Wednesday.

During the high-intensity rain, an eyewitness drew the attention of the government to an occupant of No. 2 Akewukewe Street, beside Ikate Local Government Area (LGA) in Ijesha, Surulere, who was seen dumping waste into the street water.

Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, reacting to this incident, disclosed that the house had been identified and locked up immediately.

“The house has been identified and locked immediately by Environmental Health Service Department of Itire-Ikate LCDA,” Wahab said
