Rangers Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu Hands 2024-2025 NPFL Title To Remo Stars

Ranger’s technical adviser, Fidelis Ilechukwu, believes Remo Stars are currently the strongest team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Fidelis Ilechukwu, who led Rangers to win the NPFL title last season, also predicted Remo as the favourite to win the 2024-25 NPFL title.

Ilechukwu acknowledged that his side may have limited chances of retaining the title this season.

In his chat with the press in Lagos, the reigning NPFL manager of the year emphasized his belief that the team at the top of the NPFL summit, Remo Stars, with nine points, holds the strongest position this season among the contenders for the league title.

He also noted that Rangers would take a cautious approach and wait to see how the season unfolds, especially considering the strong performances of Remo Stars, Kano Pillars, Enyimba, and Shooting Stars, who are currently positioned above his team following their Continental ouster.

“I think the team at the top of the NPFL summit(Remo Stars are at the top with nine points) are the strongest this season,” Ilechukwu said.

“As for Rangers, we will definitely sit on the fence and wait because Remo Stars, Kano Pillars, Enyimba and Shooting Stars are up there above his team after our Continental ouster.”

Note that Enugu Rangers and Remo Stars will clash in Ikenne, Ogun on Sunday, September 29. The NPFL game will kick off at 4 p.m.
