Rangers draw G.D. Sagrada Esperança as Enyimba get Etoile de Filante

Nigeria’s remaining clubs in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter-club competitions, Rangers Football Club of Enugu, and Enyimba Football Club of Aba, have been drawn against Angolan and Burkinabe sides respectively in the Second Round of their various championships.

Nigeria’s remaining clubs in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter-club competitions, Rangers Football Club of Enugu, and Enyimba Football Club of Aba, have been drawn against Angolan and Burkinabe sides respectively in the Second Round of their various championships.

Rangers qualified for the second round of the CAF Champions League by beating Comoros’ SC Zilimadjou 2-1 on aggregate, while Enyimba was drawn bye by CAF in the First Round of the Confederation Cup.

In the second round of the Champions League, Enugu Rangers will meet Grupo Desportivo Sagrada Esperança, with the Nigerian side hosting the first leg on September 13. The return leg is on September 20.

Grupo Desportivo Sagrada Esperança, better known as G.D. Sagrada Esperança, defeated Saint-Louis Suns United of Seychelles on a 4-0 aggregate in the First Round of the Champions League.

Enyimba’s opponents, Etoile Filante,  reached the Second Round after eliminating Hafia of Guinea.
