Recruitment: Police Set Date For Training Of Successful Constables

The Police Service Commission announced on Monday that training for successful applicants from the 2022 Constable Recruitment exercise will start on August 10, 2024.

Naija News learnt that this training is being organized by the Commission’s Recruitment Board.

According to the statement, candidates should verify their participation by visiting (https://apply.Policerecruitment.gov.ng) for further details about the training.

Specialist recruits will begin their training two months after the general duty constables. Details regarding the schedule and locations for specialist training will be provided later.

The Commission expressed gratitude to the applicants for their patience and cooperation throughout the recruitment process, which aimed to be inclusive and fair.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force adheres to merit and the principles of Federal Character.

It urged successful candidates to view their new roles as a significant responsibility towards national service and assured that their training will be closely monitored to prepare them effectively for addressing the country’s security challenges.

“Specialist applicants are however to resume training two months after that of their General Duty counterparts. Information on dates and venues for their specialised training will be announced in due course.

“The Police Service Commission wishes to appreciate the applicants for their patience and understanding while efforts were made to ensure that the exercise was inclusive and generally acceptable.

“The Commission also states that it will continue to ensure that recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force is based on merit and respect for the Federal Character principles.
