Regarding General Secretary NguyỄn PhÑ TrỌng’s demise, President Tinubu extends his condolences to Vietnam

With the loss of General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, President Bola Tinubu offers his condolences to the government and people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Communist Party of Vietnam’s general secretary was Nguyễn Phú Trọng. He led Vietnam as head of the Central Military Commission and Politburo. He was President from 2018 to 2021 as well.

Additionally, President Tinubu extends his condolences to Madam Ngô Thị Mận, the widow of the late Vietnamese leader.

The President expresses his profound sympathy over the loss, noting the huge influence and efforts of the deceased leader in shaping Vietnam.
