Remember That When You Were Governor Your Colleagues Supported You – PDP Chairman Warns Wike

The Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Aviation Minister, Felix Hassan Hyat, has warned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to desist from actions that could end up harming the party.

Hyatt argued that it was unwise to harm a party that made him who he is.

He told Wike that it was wrong to destroy the very party he laboured to build to its present position.

The former minister stated this in Kaduna on Tuesday following the worsening crisis in PDP.

He urged Wike to seek reconciliation with Fubara through dialogue rather than threatening PDP governors who support the Rivers governor.

Hyatt argued that the governors have a valid reason to be involved, as Fubara is their colleague, and Wike enjoyed the same support when he was governor for eight years despite federal onslaught against him.

Wike should remember that when he was a governor, his colleagues were always at his back, and they protected each other,” he said.

He told Wike that it is wrong to tell people to stay away when a system they are meant to benefit from is under threat, stressing that if the system fails, everyone loses.

Hyatt advised Wike not to destroy the party he helped nurture, pointing out that dialogue and reconciliation are essential to resolving the ongoing crisis within the party.
