Remo Stars Football Club of Ikenne, have assured their fans that they will be better prepared to face Morocco’s AS FAR Football Club than they were two years ago when they clash in the first leg of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

AS FAR defeated Remo Stars in the CAF Confederation Cup two years ago, but the Ikenne team says they are more experienced and better equipped to face the Moroccans now.

The match will be held at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

As part of their preparation for the match, Remo Stars have featured in several tune-up competitions, including the Coal City Cup, where they finished second after losing the final to Shooting Stars through a penalty shootout.

Speaking on Sunday’s match against AS FAR, Remo Stars’ Media Director, Oladimeji Oshode, said that the team is in good shape for the game, adding: “We have learnt our lessons from our last encounter with the same club. I can assure our fans that thunder will not strike twice.”

The club recently announced on their X handle that tickets for the match have gone on sale online. They have also called on interested sports journalists to apply for accreditation for the game.
