Rep Builds Primary School In Bauchi Community

Member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Aliyu Aminu Garu, has built a primary school for the dire-need community of Kajitu.

Speaking during the handover of the school to State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) at the school premises in Kajitu village, Turwun, Bauchi local government area yesterday, Aliyu Garu encouraged parents to enrol their children on the school provided to them.

Hon. Garu, who described education as a remedy to national and community challenges, expressed his determination to prioritise education toward extending similar projects across all wards in Bauchi federal constituency.

Commissioner for Women Affairs and Children Development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko commended Aliyu Garu’s effort in supporting education and other areas of development and called on other elected members to do the same to complement the governor’s effort.

The director of School Services, State Ministry of Education, Zuhairu Usman urged people of the area to protect the structure and assured government readiness to provide qualified teachers and other education materials.

Also speaking, the village head of Turwun, Alh. Muhammad Shehu, assured maximum support of the community toward protecting the school which he described as a long awaited dream that became reality.
