Rotary Club of Abuja, also known as The Grandfathers, has brought smiles to some residents of Kabusa community in the FCT through a programme aimed at improving lives.
Led by the president, Rotarian Odunayo Bello, the event featured free health consultations, deworming of 200 children, malaria testing and treatment, and the distribution of drugs for pregnant women and sickle cell patients.
Over 200 residents benefited from the initiative which also included distribution of foodstuff, clothing and exercise books to children.
“Our goal is to uplift and celebrate the community as the festive season approaches. These acts of service reflect Rotary’s mission to transform lives, and for Kabusa, this support makes a meaningful difference,” Bello said.
The club’s community service director, Rotarian Odinukwe Somtochukwu Cynthia, said, “With Christmas around the corner, we wanted to create a free shopping experience for residents by providing fairly used clothes, foodstuffs, and other essentials.”
