The immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, has disclosed that she made an appearance in court to represent a case involving a 5-year-old girl who was reportedly sexually abused by her class teacher.
She made the disclosure via a post on her X account.
The Minister who was recently sacked by President Bola Tinubu said she remains committed to fighting for a better society.
Naija News reports that Kennedy-Ohaneye was among the four ministers removed from office in a major cabinet reshuffle last month.
Speaking via X, the erstwhile Minister vowed to eradicate all forms of abuse against vulnerable Nigerians, including children.
She warned perpetrators that she would continue to pursue justice relentlessly in her capacity.
She wrote,“I remain committed to fighting for a better society. My passion for justice remains unwavering, and I will not tolerate any form of abuse, especially against vulnerable Nigerians, including children.
“Today, I represented a heart-wrenching case involving a 5-year-old girl who was sexually abused by her class teacher. This incident strengthens my resolve to combat such heinous crimes.
“To those who would dare perpetrate such atrocities, let this serve as a warning. I will pursue justice relentlessly in my capacity.”
