Sanwo-Olu commissions housing estates in Ketu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has restated that his administration would continue to ensure that the state witnesses irreversible trajectory of development in all spheres of life.

He said this will manifest in housing, health care, education, tourism, road and bridge construction, public transportation, among others.

Sanwo-Olu stated this, on Friday, at the commissioning of Raymond Estate and Sterling Heights, in Ajelogo, Ketu, Lagos.

The housing project was carried out by Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Developmental Area (LCDA) in conjunction with Ostia Homes and Sterling Bank.

Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu said the state would continue to up the scale and skills of its youth, and ensure that all the verticals that will bring about purposeful governance are not left untouched.

Commending the Chairman of Agboyi Ketu LCDA for the project, the governor expressed happiness that all the LCDAs and local government chairmen have also keyed into the state programme at the sub-national level.

Chairman, Agboyi Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, said the housing initiative, in collaboration with the private sector, aims to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing affordable, accessible and quality housing to address deficits in Lagos.

He said his government places great emphasis on infrastructure development as a means to enhance human capital and stimulate growth.

The two estates contain 170 units of flats, duplex apartments, terraces and semi detached units.

The commissioning was witnessed by traditional rulers, members of the state executive councils, market leaders and others.
