The Spiritual Director of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi, has urged Nigerians to seek profound national transformation and return spiritual values.

Obi, who was represented by Evangelical Minister, Patrick Ihionu, gave the admonition last week at Zion Ground, Okota, Lagos. Noting that unity and economic development would be attained if the people align to divine principles, he said economic crises cannot merely be solved through government policies without involving personal commitment and communal support.

“We must return to God so He can heal our land. This is a call for unity and a change in our approach to national and economic challenges. We need to work hard in addition to our prayers. Blaming the government won’t suffice. We must assist one another and embody the values of good leadership,” he added.

As the 100-day fasting period of the ministry ends, Obi called for increase in the acts of charity, care for the poor and personal repentance, noting that the fast was an opportunity for introspection, a time to rectify past sins and a period to foster compassion and support for the less privileged.

Responding to update on the court case against controversial blogger Mr. Chizorom Harrison Ofoegbu (Ijele).who is on trial for threatening Evangelist Ebuka Obi, the Spiritual Director said bail had been several months ago.

John Nwokwu confirmed that Ofoegbu had fulfilled all conditions of his bail and should have been released.

Nwokwu noted that he remains in detention due to additional allegations of cybercrime unrelated to Zion Ministry and Evangelist Obi. He added that the charges involve other parties and are currently pending for further legal proceedings.
