Sen Abbas doles out N20m support to Adamawa Girei, Fufore LGAs PDP stakeholders

As part of his effort towards ensuring quality representation to the people of his constituency, the Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas (PDP) has embark on constituency tour starting with Fufore and Girei local government areas of the zone on Saturday.

During his visit to the LGA’s with the stakeholders, the senator doled out 20 million naira to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) officials at the local government and ward levels, which includes stakeholders, elders, party supporters, youths, women and other groups.

Cash support ranging from N100,000, N50,000, N30,000 downward was distributed to the beneficiaries accordingly.

The senator who was at the LGA’S purposely to brief them about his routine legislative performance, said the gesture is also part of his support to cushion the present economic hardship.

The meeting held simultaneously with the 11 and 10 ward executives and all the local government party officials in Fufore and Girei local government areas alongside other stakeholders respectively, which witnessed a massive turnout of constituents.

Speaking during the meeting Senator Aminu Iya Abbas said he embarked on the tour to review his performances, interact and present his scorecard to his constituents as their representative, which includes building bridges for effective governance, empowering youths and fostering innovations, boosting agriculture, Education, Youth and women empowerment; and Constituency engagement.

Iya Abbas who is chairing the Senate Committee on Innovation, Science and Technology, revealed that he personally present motions; sponsored people’s oriented bills; execute projects; and various categories of empowerments in the last one year.

Senator Abbas, during the occasion also announced that he will soon embark on free medical intervention on various categories which he plans to start with Gombi, Girei and Fufore LGA’s later in the year and charged stakeholders to ensure that all parts of every ward is accommodated in the exercise.

According to him, the exercise will be continues with the remaining local government areas of the district which includes; Hong, Song, Yola South and Yola North LGA’S respectively.

While appreciating the stakeholders and other constituents for their support and understanding, Senator Abbas said he will continue to work towards ensuring that he delivers his campaign promise to the people of Adamawa central.

In his address, the Director General Aminu Iya Abbas (2023) Senatorial Campaign Council, Alhaji Usman Mohammed Kaura said he is visible impressed with the large turn out of the stakeholders in the two local government areas visited described the senator as a representative whose concern is to satisfy his people.

In their separate remarks during the meeting, stakeholders from the two local government areas visited including the members representing Verre and Girei Constituencies in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Japheth Hammajabu and Hon Abubakar Abdullahi saluted the Senator for his starling performance in the Nigerian Senate.

On their part, the council Chairman Girei local government area Hon. Adamu Dallatu and his counterpart of Fufore Hon. Shaibu Babaz who was represented during the meeting appreciated the senator for exceptional representation and pledged their maximum co-operation to enable him succeed in providing people with democracy dividends.

Earlier in their addresses the PDP leaders in the two LGA’s, expressed happiness with the exemplary representation of Senator Aminu Iya Abbas and pointed out that Peoples’ Democratic Party is a political party that always identifies quality individuals to represent people at all levels

Other speakers while speaking during the event, commended Aminu Iya Abbas for his efforts in giving the people a voice at the National Assembly and acknowledged his quality representation, oversight and constituency projects.
