Senators Okey Ezea, Orji Uzor Kalu Mourn Ifeanyi Ubah

Senators representing Abia North and Enugu North, Orji Uzor Kalu and Okey Ezea, respectively, have lamented the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Senator Ezea and Orji Uzor said the death of Anambra South Senator, was a big loss for Ndigbo, days after President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, gave up the ghost.

The South East senators said Senator Ubah’s death was shocking and a great loss to Ndigbo and Nigerians.

In his condolence message, on Saturday, the former governor of Abia State – Orji Uzor Kalu –  said, “My heart goes out to the Ubah’s, ndi Nnewi, Anambra South, the good people and government of Anambra state and my colleagues in the senate for the loss of our dearest friend and brother, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. It’s a lot to deal with the shock and pain of the loss.”

On his part, the Labour Party chieftain, Senator Ezea said the deaths of Capital Oil’s CEO – Ifeanyi Ubah and Champions Newspaper publisher – Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu – were serious loss to Ndigbo.

It’s been a trying time for both the South East and the National Assembly with the rising spate of sudden deaths amongst our leaders.

“Just when we were trying to come to terms with the death of Chief Iwuanyanwu, the sudden death of Distinguished Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah hit us like a thunderbolt. With so much stamina and energy, the news of his death was quite shocking to me.

“Late Senator Ubah was a patriot and a committed lawmaker whose legacies in the Senate will continue to endure for years to come.

“My condolences go to his immediate family, the people of Anambra South Senatorial District and the Nigerian Senate where his activities, until his death, were palpable,” Ezea said in his condolence message on Saturday.
