Shaffy Bello warns on dangers of technology

Popular actress, Shaffy Bello, has shared her thoughts on how young Nigerians are being influenced by technology. During her appearance as a guest on another actress, Tope Olowoniyan’s talkshow, Bello expressed concern about the misuse of technology.

She said, “The younger ones are missing out in a lot of ways. The younger generation is getting carried away with technology—the same technology that is fixing things and making life easier for you. However, I believe it can also be destructive if one is not careful.”

Bello added that although she might not know every detail of what young people are going through, she has an idea. She said, “I may not know all the details of what young ladies are going through, but I have an idea. I have a 28-year-old daughter and a 26-year-old son, so I know just about what they are going through. They won’t tell me everything, but I can sense it. I am involved with so many actors because of what we do.”

Reflecting on the struggles of today compared to her own experience growing up, the actress stated that “it is much more difficult to be alive now than it was when we were growing up”.
