‘She’s Family’ – Falz Denies Romantic Relationship With Simi

Nigerian singer and activist, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz The Bhad Guy, has denied any form of romantic relationship between himself and fellow singer, Simi.

The rapper while denying dating rumours between himself and Simi, described her as family.

Speaking during a recent interview with Hip TV, Falz acknowledged that they clicked musically but clarified that there is nothing between them.

He recalled how he reached out to Simi after hearing her breakthrough song ‘Jamb Question’ and her their musical chemistry inspired more future collaborations.

“I met Simi 2013 or 2014. I reached out to her first time I heard ‘Jamb Question’ to let her know I’ve written a verse for the remix that we’ve not yet discussed,” Falz recalled.

“And we went on to do it, shot the video and from then onwards, every other track was so natural. She’s family, we really really clicked musically and we just had to really explore that. It was beautiful,” he added.

Naija News reports that most recently, Simi featured Falz in her song, ‘Borrow Me Your Baby,’ one of the tracks in her new album, ‘Lost And Found.’

It would be recalled that recently, Simi also revealed that people thought she and Falz were dating because of their intense musical chemistry.

Speaking during an appearance on Angela Yee’s podcast, the mother of one stated that before she got married, most people thought that they were in a romantic relationship.

Simi is married to singer, Adekunle Gold, and in 2020, the couple welcomed their first child, Adejare.
