No fewer than six individuals were reportedly killed, while at least twenty-six others were kidnapped in recent attacks by terrorists in Kaduna State.

Naija News learnt that the assailants invaded the communities of Sabon Gida Libere, Ungwan Ganye, Ungwan Nabara, and Kadi within the Kauru Local Government Area of the state recently, leaving residents in tension.

The terrorists are said to have targeted the villages in a series of coordinated attacks, instilling fear among the residents.

A local resident, Aminu Khalid, who informed journalists of the sad developments via a telephone interview on Wednesday, noted that the terrorists invaded Sabon Gida Libere on Monday, where one person was killed, and 23 were taken captive, while three fatalities occurred in Ungwan Nabara.

Khalid emphasized that the communities have yet to establish communication with the terrorists, noting that many villages remain abandoned due to the ongoing violence.

The terrorists have their camp close to the Libere community called the ‘ Agwala forest’ on top of a hill.

“Most communities are deserted and those in the surrounding villages could not access their farmlands.

“Government and the military must clear the bush where these terrorists are taking their refuge to restore the confidence of the surrounding communities,” The Punch quoted the source saying.

However, the Kaduna State Police command is yet to issue any official statement regarding the attacks as of the time of filing this report, Naija News reports.
