New Osun FRSC Commander, Taofeeq Sokunbi

Mr Taofeeq Sokunbi has taken over as the new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Osun State.

The command’s spokesperson, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the appointment in a statement issued on Thursday in Osogbo.

Sokunbi replaces Mr Inyang Umoh, who has been reassigned to Rivers State, Daily Post reports.

A seasoned administrator, Sokunbi joined the FRSC in 1996 and has served in various roles across the country, including positions in Ogoja and Jigawa Commands.

She urged FRSC personnel in the state to support the new sector commander in achieving set objectives.

The statement read, “He was the Staff Zonal Data Centre at Lokoja and Ilorin before being posted again to the ABA Information Processing Centre (IPC).

“Sokunbi was born in Ebute Metta, Lagos State, into the family of High Chief Kolawole and Madam Funmilayo Sokunbi on July 22, 1970.

“He hails from Abeokuta South Local Government area of Ogun.

“He attended Shiloh primary school before proceeding to Vetland Grammar School, Agege, Lagos State.”

Ogungbemi, however, said the new Sector Commander had his first Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Joseph Ayo-Babalola University, lkeji Arakeji, in Osun State.
