Solving Nigeria’s Challenges Requires Collective Effort – Kumuyi

General overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church and convener of Change Makers International (CMI), Pastor Williams Kumuyi, has said the problem facing Nigeria would only be solved by collective effort, not by one individual.

Kumuyi disclosed this yesterday in Port Harcourt, while speaking at a sensitisation meeting ahead of a planned first edition of the programme, slated to hold between August 15 and August 20, 2024.

The sensitisation meeting was attended by leaders of both the Muslim and Christian communities in the state, as well as representatives of media organisations in the state.

The general overseer, who was represented by the Rivers State overseer of the Church, Pastor Andrew Osagie, said Governor Siminalayi Fubara has provided the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, for the global event.

He said: “All religions are to be blamed for the decadency in the society. All of us, no matter our religion must come together to fight against moral decadence in society.

“We cannot blame the government for the moral decadence in the society. All of us are to be blamed. Our societal problem cut across all the religious divides.

“There are people who have never been to mosques, who have never been to church but can never be involved in such evil things in the society. My heart bleeds. All our moral values have been destroyed.

“The medium of an edition of this programme in Nigeria will be held in Port Harcourt and will be televised worldwide. Graciously, the governor of Rivers State has given us the Yakubu Gowon Stadium for the event.

“It is collective efforts that can solve Nigeria’s problem. It is not only one individual.”
