With the recent realisation of the South East Development Commission, South East stakeholders have continued to appreciate the efforts of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for his passion for the genuine development of the region.

This was re-emphasised during the weekend, when Mr. Fidelis Anosike, publisher of Daily Times and Chief Emeka Okafor, an All Progressives Congress chieftain joined in appreciating the efforts of Hon Ben Kalu, towards the wellbeing of the region.

Speaking on the realisation of the South East Development Commission, Anosike said its creation is one of most phenomenal feats that would help spur development in the South East region.

He said: “I must join others in appreciating the efforts of the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ben Kalu, who spearheaded this initiative. I sincerely call this one phenomenal feat to have come to the South East region in the past decade. I know so many development initiatives for the region are up the sleeves of the Deputy Speaker, but in the meantime, it is heartwarming to congratulate him for this. His passion for the development of the region and Nigeria in general is commendable, and I can only urge him to continue with his great strides.”

President Bola Tinubu signed into law the Bill for the creation of the Commission last week.
