Standardising practices within IT operations is crucial for improving efficiency and effectiveness, according to the Managing Director of Avetium Consult, Adeyinka Adedokun.

Speaking at the recent TechExec brunch session, Adedokun highlighted the importance of data security, system agility, and cost optimization in modern IT operations.

Standardised IT operations refer to the implementation of uniform procedures, protocols, and practices within an organization’s IT infrastructure and services.

The event, hosted by Avetium Consult in Lagos recently, centred on “Transforming the IT Landscape with Management Solutions”.

It featured collaborations with ManageEngine, known for its comprehensive suite of over 120 IT management software products and tools.

“In today’s world, it’s essential to focus on data security, system agility, and cost optimization in IT operations,” Adedokun said.

“Our partner, ManageEngine, is dedicated to these priorities. This gathering aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas, strategies, and goals, allowing us to explore and standardize improvements in IT operations across our organisations.”

During his presentation, Senior Sales Executive, Africa for ManageEngine, Srinivasan Rajasekar, demonstrated the company’s enterprise-grade solutions that enable efficient monitoring, managing, and securing of IT infrastructure.

“ManageEngine has established itself as a leader by developing cutting-edge solutions for IT operations, streamlining processes, automating tasks, and enhancing productivity,” Rajasekar stated.

The session attracted notable heads of IT from various industries, providing a platform for discussing innovative IT management solutions and their potential to enhance business processes.

The Senior Channel Manager at Tranter-IT, Henry Agbonze, highlighted the long-standing and fruitful business relationship between Tranter-IT and ManageEngine, which has lasted nearly two decades.

“We are distributors for ManageEngine products, which is why we are involved,” Agbonze explained. “Avetium Consult is also our partner. Since they joined us, we’ve seen many opportunities that have positively impacted our ROI.”

Agbonze noted that while Tranter-IT has partners in Abuja, Kaduna, and Kano, over 80 per cent of their partners are based in Lagos.

In 2021, Avetium Consult achieved double ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, underscoring their commitment to high standards in information security management.
