Since its introduction in the Premier League in the 2019/20 season, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) has sparked uproar many times.
Clear goals were chalked off, contentious goals were allowed, and controversial decisions were taken with the help of VAR.
A table showing teams most affected by the VAR has emerged, with Wolves sitting at the top.
The VAR has been at the centre of most talking points in the last few seasons in the Premier League, and Wolves wanted it scrapped a few months ago.
The Premier League is now using the technology for a sixth straight season, but it is still a talking point every weekend.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have been involved in some of the biggest VAR controversies in the last few seasons.
Teams most affected by VAR
According to an analysis by Dale Johnson, via Sky Sports, Wolves have lost a net total of 13 goals due to overturned decisions from VAR since 2019/20.
Wolves have been the subject of some controversial VAR decisions. In fact, they lost to Manchester City last week due to a contentious John Stones goal.
Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Sheffield United are the only clubs with a figure of 0.
Fulham and Brentford have benefited the most from the technology, with 11 and 10 net total goals gained.
Premier League clubs recently voted to keep using the VAR after Wolves requested to scrap it, per BBC.
Why Man City goal was given
Legit.ng earlier explained why John Stones's goal for Man City against Wolves was given by the VAR.
Referee Chris Kavanagh signalled that there had been an infringement on Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa as the corner came in.
Replays show that Bernardo Silva impeded his Portuguese compatriot in an offside position as the ball came in. Silva, however, left the scene before Stones headed the ball in.
