Controversial Nigerian pastor, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has reacted to the public apology of Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, over accusations against him.

Naija News reported that Halima Abubakar admitted to making false allegations against Apostle Suleiman.

Naija News reports that Halima, in a letter shared on her Instagram page, publicly tendered an apology to Suleiman over her action, which had caused damage to Suleiman.

This apology comes six months after a Federal Capital Territory High Court ordered the movie star to pay N10 million as damages to the cleric for publishing derogatory comments against him.

Suleiman had accused Halima Abubakar of publishing defamatory statements against him on her Instagram page, accusing him of being a womanizer and diabolical, among others.

Part of Halima’s letter read, “I am writing to you today to acknowledge the falsehoods I made against you on social media and to offer my sincerest apologies. After deep reflections, and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm, pains and distress caused by my lies.

“I admit that I made false allegations against you; and also regret my actions and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Mrs. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the Leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry.

In a post via X, Apostle Suleiman warned those calling his phone after Halima’s public apology.

The clergy noted that forgiveness is not memory loss, and he will maintain the court’s judgment.

He wrote, “You all stop calling my phone.. Forgiveness is not memory loss!.. Status quo maintained!… AJS.”
