Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has vowed to bring to book the killers of Hassan Yahaya Egwa, the state coordinator of the Fadama lll project at his residence in Lafia.
Sule’s spokesman Mr. Ibrahim Addra said this in a statement on Friday.
The governor who expressed shock at the brutal killing of Hassan Yahaya Egwa, the State Coordinator, Fadama III project, said that “difficult times do not excuse for criminal acts, we shall pursue killers and bring them to justice.”
During a condolence visit to the residence of the deceased in Lafia, Sule said the late Hassan was a brilliant and committed young man who gave his best to uplift the lives of the people through the NG-cares programme.
Sule added that his dedication, selfless service to the state, and pleasant disposition will be missed.
The governor has since directed security agencies to carry out diligent investigations to pursue and fish out the perpetrators of dastardly acts.
He said, “Criminality does not have a place in our society, urging all to shun crime while reiterating the government’s resolve to prioritize the security and welfare of the people.“
Sule urged the deceased family, colleagues, and friends to take solace in the many contributions of Hassan to society while praying that Allah grants his soul eternal rest in Jannat Firdausi.
Hassan Egwa was killed by unknown gunmen who invaded his home at the project quarters, Lafia, and shot him to death.
